When you have mastered the art of decorating a college dorm room that's when you know what you're doing. Being my fourth year in university I've got the bedroom part down but our living room and kitchen are still on the bare bones. These photos from Refiner 29 have got my ideas churning again!
These wall stickers are amazing! There usually is a strict code of what you want put on walls (no nail marks or residue can be left over after move out day) and these stickers can be found on the cheap at Target and will leave behind clean white walls.

Night in Newtown
Thursday, October 27, 2011
This week has been ... busy. Monday night was the Student Art Display. The days leading up to it were insane, so to take a little break and have a good smile and laugh we moved our CAA Cabinet meeting to at coffee shop nearby.

I really don't remember when I took these photos but it was a couple of weeks ago. That should give you an example of how busy my life is, ha. BUT it's important that you know I took care of that root problem you see in the photographs so no worries : )
As for this weekend, things went wonderful! I photographed a lovely wedding, got to try out my rented camera (a Canon 7d), and did some decorating and food shopping for the Student Art Display that's happening later tonight. We've worked really hard to make this all come together and I'm excited to see how it all turns out with the artwork hung and the room decorated. Some of my photography will be in the exhibit as well which is exciting. I wish I had more time in my life to really have dug through my photography archives and pick out my favorites but I just submitted some of my photographs I took this year while in Israel. So we'll see how everyone likes them.
Hope you have a great Monday!

This weekend marks the start of fall break! I was recently talking with a friend about what it means to take time to rest. This break, at first, meant a time to catch up and log away hours in the library and at cafes, but after our talk I think I'm going to take some much needed time to just unplug and do the creative things I've been storing up as ideas all this time. So here's to a great weekend!
I can't wait to see this movie.
This song has been everywhere lately!
This photo is breathtaking.

Bread Bowl Soup
Wednesday, October 12, 2011
Tonight I stayed home and made dinner. Well, if you count cutting the top off of a bread bowl and heating up some Campbell's chicken dumpling soup as cooking then that's exactly what I did : ) Regardless, it hit the spot. Every week my church gives out Panera bread and this was one of the finds this week. Score! Also, I'm so glad you all are loving the giveaway : )

Happy Friday!

These photos were taken last weekend at the Garden Party my university held. However, because of the poor lighting these are the only two semi-decent photos that came out of the evening. It's a shame it didn't start earlier because it was beautifully decorated!
What are your plans for the weekend? Mine include making a delicious chocolate basket for a friend, an engagement photo shoot, lots of homework, church, and a girl's night : ) Also, stay tuned for a new giveaway next week! This is one you're not going to want to miss....
