Daily Life: An Update

This past winter I put together a list of books that I want to read during the summer.  Maybe it was idealistic and pure fantasy that I would ever be able to finish it, but the list is still sitting on my desktop and has gone untouched for a while. This summer I just literally don't have any time to read. But when I do these are the two that I'm digesting (besides my reading for school). I'm quite enjoying both! Has anyone read these two? What are your thoughts?

Since I haven't done an outfit post in ages here are some snippets of my outfit today. The weather is starting to really heat up during the day here (in Israel) and all I want to wear is something easy and breezy. This dress fits the mold perfectly.

 I've also been busy studying Hebrew. My friend here (Sofia) gives private lessons for a good price so I signed up right away. Today I bought some more school supplies so I don't have to keep using my moleskin journal.

Anyways...that's what I've been up to recently. How are you girls? I miss daily posting and catching up with everyone! Please update me in the comments.

I first met Cara when we both attending a songwriting week at Berklee College of Music back in 2006. It was a week to remember and even back then I knew she'd be something. Her voice is dead on each and every time she sings. Not to mention she's adorable. Enjoy your new favorite music artist.

Just a Pop of Neon

I wasn't quite into the whole neon trend at first, but now I can see myself pair it with soft neutrals. However I'm still not convinced enough to buy something neon just yet. I'd like to see if this trend sticks around for a good bit.

These Boots

Today I tried to wear jeans and I almost died. I rarely get iced coffee these days (since it's just not in the budget) but I promptly headed over to the closest coffee shop to stock up for the bus ride. I don't know what I was thinking! I guess I'm kind of missing the chilly days where it's just cold enough to wear boots and knee high socks.

This picture almost made me tear up. Yes, I'm that attached to leather boots. I think I need an intervention.

It Felt Good

At the hostel we have Live Music Nights every Sunday night at 9pm. I've been playing at them recently and it's been a joy to get back into music. For a while I wasn't doing it anymore. I think it was because of what I was going through in life....the circumstances kind of sucked the music and the creativity out of me. But now that I'm in a good place and truly happy again it's fun to get back into something that once made me feel so alive.

Style Crush: Erin

Lately I haven't been able to get enough of Erin's style. It's getting me excited to head home and clean out my wardrobe, sell some pieces, and start over.

I also love how the location she picks to take her pictures always reflects well with the outfit she is wearing.

Picnic Style

Having a BBQ and a picnic made me think of home. The only difference was that instead of hamburger and buns we had chicken and pita : ) Don't worry, these are all good changes.
