Adorn by Prismera

You might not know this, but sometimes I write fashion and beauty reviews for another website.  I got this beautiful rose bobby pin to review and I just had to take some pictures for this blog and show you how beautiful it is!

The bobby pin is part of an accessories collection from Prismera Designs called Adorn. In the collection they have more beautiful rose bobby pins, headbands, and clips.  It makes me feel so beautiful just to have something like this in my hair.  I usually don't do much with my hair but this is something that's simple and easy to do!

Dresses From Lulu's

I have spent a lot of time browsing through the Lulu's website, but have never bought anything since the three years since I've found their website. Yet once again I am here to talk about my favorite dresses (that I will sadly probably never own :(). Oh well.

My 20th Birthday Celebration

(What a bland title. Sorry for that! I just wanted this post to be easily searched if I ever wanted to find it again :P)

So birthdays pretty much rock. Mine isn't until tomorrow but we had a fun weekend celebration.

It included bike rides and bonfires. Could it get much better?

And of course some good time snuggling. But we'll forget that part where Anna got hit on the head with a baseball. We're just going to pretend that she likes to snuggle with me!

Just because Mom knew that I loved owls she went out and bought this wrapping paper special for my birthday! It's that so sweet? Of COURSE I loved it!

Now only three days of school to endure. I can make it this time!

Ps - I can't wait to wear this owl pin that belonged to either my grandmother or my great grandmother back in the day. And please excuse the dust on my dresser! Since I don't live at home it's tough to get the dusting done : )

Daily Life: I Feel So Old

Thank you so much for the birthday wishes. Despite it being a torrential downpour today, I'm having a great time being 20. I'm trying to put my fears about getting older behind me and just move on.

I'm so thankful to the tiny surprises throughout the day! My suitemates decorated my desk with streamers and left a note and four cupcakes. Naturally, there is only one left right now and I'm saving that one for later!

Now I'm off to study for two exams the rest of the evening : ) Wouldn't it be a nice surprise if classes were cancelled tomorrow? Now that's my birthday wish!

Shorts Shorts

This girl totally knows how to rock a pair of shorts. I've wanted to try this look for a while but I'm a bit shy about it. I haven't found the right pair and I usually don't tend to wear shorts anyways. Maybe someday....

Today I Turn 20

Today I turn 20.  Wow. It's just so strange to think I will never be associated with that group of people that are labeled as "teens".  I know it's a great thing, and good things are yet to come (I have high hopes for my 20s) but it's just so weird to get rid of that identity that I was labeled with for so long.  But with all that said, I'm excited to see what the next few years will hold in store.  So much growth is going to happen and I know I'm going to be stretched.  Things will get tough and so many life changes are already starting to happen, but I'm hoping things will turn out alright in the end : )

In other news, it's super rainy today but since it's my birthday I decided to wear a cute outfit (not the one pictured here).  Hopefully I'll be able to get a picture of the outfit but there are HUGE mud puddles everywhere and I don't want to get everything all muddy, so maybe I'll just re-dress up another day for pictures : )

Everyone Loves A Good Sale

Shopping sales is probably one of my favorite things to do. Although I usually have to bring someone sensible with me that won't allow me to go overboard on things I really don't need anymore like cute socks.

Where do you like to find good sales? I'm always up for a good tip!

Denim Leggings

I actually really want this pair of denim leggings from Free People.  They look like regular jeans but are probably SO much more comfortable when it comes down to it.  

Are you opposed to denim leggings?

So basically the reason why this whole post is revolved around my scarf is because I think this is the coolest scarf EVER.  It probably has something to do with how thick and big it is, and that I got it in Italy!! (Well it was either Italy or Israel...I can't remember which one, but both those places are pretty cool anyways!).

By the way...as you can see in these photos I got my first pair of Converse sneakers for my birthday.  I can't believe I've been lacking them all this time.  I know they are extremely overdone but I just love the simplicity of them.  Not to mention it's in gray! One of my favorite colors to wear!
